Who We Are
Freshwater Church is a church plant originally launched in Subiaco, but now meeting in Mosman Park. It draws people together from various suburbs in Perth. Our core group has come from a Baptist background with a desire to follow Christ with passion, freshness and flexibility.
"To influence our community, and to touch other parts of the world, with the love and hope of Christ.”
"To be a family of peace, existing to know Christ and to make him known.”
Ian Simms (Pastor)
Abrie LaCock (Treasurer & Council)
Prayer: Prayer is a priority in our approach to ministry. We hold an open prayer ministry time on Wednesday evenings 6.45 – 7.45pm.
Children: Our children enjoy the use of an adjoining, spacious room not far from our worship space. Our workers are screened and have undergone Working with Children Checks.”
Women: Our ladies gather on Wednesday mornings for a DVD teaching session and discussion, as well as friendship and refreshments.
Men: There’s nothing like a hearty breakfast, and an interesting speaker from the world of business or sport, to draw the men together from time to time at the Iron Shed.
We participate in joint Christian efforts in the Subiaco suburb. Our ladies work with the Esther Foundation whose care of troubled young girls has been inspiring. We support the work of the Challenge Newspaper in the area. Further afield, we have assisted the activities of MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship), whose aircraft reach people in various situations of need and emergency.
